| Grand Island Native Plant Program wins National Conservation Award |

Great Lakes Endurance, as part of its mission to support environmental education and restoration efforts near its race venues, has supported the Grand Island Native Plant Restoration Program with financial donations since 2008. This year the program won the prestigious National Butterfly Conservation Award through Wings Across the Americas. The organization’s director, Deb LeBlanc, told Great Lakes Endurance, “ Thank you so very much for all the support from the Marathon.”
Deb also also works as a volunteer at one of the Grand Island Trail Marathon aid stations.
